What’s one of the hottest new trends in makeup right now? Color correction! Everyone wants a flawless complexion and now there’s a way to get it and you don’t have to be a professional to achieve it! It just takes a few rules to cancel out your complexion concerns by using complimentary colors through color correction. Here they are:
- Calm and reduce appearance of Redness caused by rosacea and acne by using a Green neutralizing product if color is strong or Yellow if mild redness.
- Dark spots from sun damage and hyper pigmentation disappear using Peach, Apricot, or Orange only to areas you need to conceal. This will help with dark circles under eyes too.
- Bring to life dull, lack luster skin using Purple or Pink to brighten skin.
- Color correcting products come in many different formulas from sheer tinted primers to thicker camouflage color palettes.
- Prep skin first with skincare products and ingredients that work for your concerns.
- Use a primer.
- Color correct large areas before foundation, small areas after foundation.
- Always stipple product on do not rub.
- Cover with a concealer matching your foundation.
